MAREA means “tide” in Spanish. For choreographer and performer Karine Parisé, this is a reference to childhood memories and the euphoria of the waves, but also a celebration of femininity. In this piece, music, space and objects reflect her Gaspesian origins, as well as the water’s edge, where a thousand and one treasures from the sea are gathered.
